How to save with sibling discounts

How to save with sibling discounts

It seems like anything we enroll our kids in is so expensive! As a mommy of two boys I get this whole heartedly! So lets chat about how you can save some money on this stuff.

First let's talk about school tuition's. If your children go to private schools then this will apply to you. Check with the administrator when you register, a majority of the time they offer a discount for the second child to be enrolled. This can add up to a huge savings year over year! Also don't hesitate to ask if they have a sliding scale for tuition or even assistance if you need it. Doesnt hurt to ask right?

Next how about sports or activities. If your kids are close in age then usually you can get them on the same team. If you don't see an offer for a sibling discount when you sign them up, just ask! Sometimes activities will offer a prepay discount that if you pay for the whole cost in advance they will give you a percentage off. I signed my son up for dance class and they gave us 50% off just because he was a boy! They were promoting more boys attending dance classes so they offered that discount, so cool!

Birthday parties! If you are going to rent out a venue try and save money by celebrating both kids birthdays at once! This works very well if your kids birthdays are close enough. You can always still do two cakes and gifts for each. But usually the venue costs a bit much, save money by doing it once!

Just think everytime you sign your kiddos up for something just ask if they offer a sibling discount. You might be suprised on how much money you can save!
